Contemporary Acrylic Artist

Jenny Urquhart is a contemporary artist based in Bristol, known for her bold and joyful acrylic landscapes that capture the beauty of the South West of England. Her work is instantly recognisable for its vibrant colours, dynamic compositions and uplifting energy.

Growing up in the countryside, Jenny developed a strong appreciation for the natural world, which continues to shape her artistic vision. Her paintings celebrate familiar scenes – from Bristol’s iconic skyline to the rolling hills, coastlines and countryside of the region – infused with a unique sense of movement and optimism.

Jenny began her creative journey after a career in education and quickly gained recognition for her fresh, modern approach to landscape art. Her pieces often blend elements of collage with detailed observation, offering viewers a new perspective on places they know and love. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and art fairs across the UK, and her prints and originals are held in private collections both nationally and internationally.

Jenny will be an official artist for the Gromit Unleashed 3 sculpture trail in Bristol from June 30 – August 31 this summer, part of the Grand Appeal which will raise money for Bristol’s Children’s Hospital.

BRISTOL HARBOUR FESTIVAL

Jenny’s artwork ‘Bristol Harbour Festival’ celebrates the annual summer event and showcases the city of Bristol at its best. During the festival, the River Avon is always full of boats, the sky often has hot air balloons floating by and colourful buildings frame the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The print is from an original mixed media collage created from recycled newspaper and magazines.
