Caroline Gibson

Woodstock-based artist and printmaker Caroline Gibson grew up in the Cotswolds and is inspired by the countryside where she lives – she describes herself as “a bumpkin at heart – happiest sitting in a barley field watching the clouds go by”.

Her childhood was a mixture of playing in the village, running around the fields and – in direct contrast – experiencing the bright lights and glamour of the theatre, where her father worked for a national theatre company. It ignited in her a passion for the creativity, drama, art and fun of showbiz that remains with her today. 

After A levels, Caroline studied photography at Berkshire College of Art & Design and went on to become a professional photographer, running her own business, Woodstock Property Photography ( www.woodstockpropertyphotography.co.uk)

Her artwork is created using the relief printmaking method of linocut – each print is cut and rolled by hand and printed on wood-free, acid-free printmaking paper, using oil-based ink.

Caroline’s artwork is available at Gleide Home Decor in Woodstock and she also has a regular pop-up shop at Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington. She is currently working on a new collection of work.
